The P&R Truck Centre branches in Saanichton, Victoria, Langford, Duncan and Nanaimo specialize in providing the sales and support of trucks, trailers, and other industrial equipment. We are dealers for Western Star and Freightliner trucks, Mitsubishi Fuso, Doepker, Trail King, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and Caterpillar engines. Our branches in Saanichton, Langford, Duncan and Nanaimo are full service locations with Sales, Service, and fully stocked Parts departments. Our location on Burnside Road in Victoria is a Parts and Accessories store only.

P&R started in 1979 as a partnership between Pat McConnell and Russ Mitcham. Pat and Russ specialized in providing the very best mechanical and repair services to the construction and transportation industry. In 1984 P&R became the Western Star truck dealer adding the full line up of Western Star trucks, parts, and service support to their business. Their commitment to excellence became the P&R trademark, and the tradition of great service support is the standard that lives on at all our P&R locations today.

In 2001, Russ Mitcham retired from the business, and Pat McConnell took over as sole owner of P&R Western Star. The next few years saw growth as P&R added Sterling, Freightliner, and Fuso trucks to its dealerships. The legacy of great products backed by outstanding customer service remained the benchmark that drove P&R forward as the leader in the Vancouver Island marketplace.

In 2014 Pat took a step towards retirement, with the vision that P&R should remain the dominant force in customer service on Vancouver Island. P&R Truck Centre Ltd, under the leadership of David Polack, purchased the P&R organization on January 1, 2014. David brought his years of experience as a Dealer and General Manager of Western Star and Freightliner dealerships. Pat remains active in the business, offering his expertise and guidance, and his special brand of customer service that truly is the P&R legacy.

In 2014 P&R became the Doepker Trailer dealer for Vancouver Island.

In 2016 P&R became the Trail King Industries dealer for Vancouver Island.

2017 marked the grand opening of the new P&R Truck Centre branch on Millstream Road in Langford BC!
